SECURITY GUARD (MALE)

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum basic wage for expatriate security guards in Qatar is 1,000 QAR per month as of January 2026, plus a food allowance of 300 QAR and accommodation allowance of 500 QAR. Total starting packages typically range from 2,000 to 3,500 QAR monthly depending on experience. Overtime is paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day.

International applicants need a job offer from a licensed Qatari employer who sponsors the work visa through the Ministry of Labour portal, valid for up to 5 years as of 2026. A medical examination from an approved clinic and police clearance are mandatory before issuance of the Residence Permit (RP). Processing takes 2-4 weeks and costs 300 QAR in fees paid by the employer.

Candidates must be aged 21-50, hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of prior security experience as of 2026 requirements. A clean criminal record and passing a medical fitness test are required. Basic Arabic or English proficiency is mandatory for communication.

Required documents include a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), 4 passport-sized photos, attested high school certificate, medical fitness report, and police clearance certificate from home country. The employer submits these via the MOL unified portal for visa approval. All non-English documents must be attested by Qatar Embassy as of 2026.
