cleaning staff - urgently required

As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum wage for unskilled cleaning staff (Category D workers) is 125 KWD per month effective January 2026. Employers must pay via the Wage Protection System, with overtime at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. Salaries include basic pay plus 15% social allowance.

Foreign workers require a Work Residence Permit (Article 18 visa) sponsored by a Kuwaiti employer, processed through PAM within 3 months of arrival. The permit fee is 3 KWD per month, paid by the employer, and requires a medical fitness certificate from an approved clinic costing 20 KWD. Visa validity is 1-3 years, renewable.

No formal education is required for cleaning staff roles, but applicants must be at least 21 years old and have 6 months of relevant experience. A clean criminal record and negative HIV/health tests from approved labs are mandatory. PAM approves placements for those aged 21-60.

Required documents include a valid passport (valid 6+ months), attested high school certificate or experience letter, medical report, and 4 passport photos. Employers submit these via PAM's online portal for work permit approval, taking 2-4 weeks. Recruitment office contract costs 50 KWD maximum.
