Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) equipment to produce high-quality, high-penetration welds on heavy structural steel.

Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding process specifications to determine layouts and sequences.

Quality Assurance: Perform visual inspections of finished welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project tolerances; repair or touch up welds as needed.

Material Handling: Use overhead cranes and forklifts to position large-scale heavy metal components (chutes, structural beams) for welding.

Preparation: Perform necessary prep work including grinding, fitting, and tack welding segments to ensure precise alignment.
